LIGHTBIRD’s new trends at DaTE and  SILMO


September – LIGHTBIRD, the new eyewear brand created by the Bellunese designer Corrado Rosson, offers two models for the autumn-winter 19/20 season. Colours and shapes are the fundamental elements of the models MOON and ASTEROID. The names are evocative and are derived from the Little Prince, a tribute wanted by Rosson for the common values the book shares with the brand, such as dream, passion, light and balance.
MOON and ASTEROID are part of the first Light_MATTER collection, consisting of thirteen optical and five sun models. The collection features geometries characterized by an alternation of lines and shapes that can be both sharp and decisive and rounded and sinuous. The choice of colours is dynamic, ranging from monochromatic tone-on-tone to two-tone models with animalier acetates and defined colours.





The rounded lenses bring back to the great splendours of the first decades of the twentieth century, while the innovative production system leads to a contemporary style.

The chromatic variations enable the enhancement of the glasses’ sinuous lines. The « Light off » satin metal of the front and the tone-on-tone temples guarantee the wearer elegance and dynamism.

MOON is available in Shiny Black, Havana CubicHoney, Chocolate and Purple.




Clean lines and innovative Light_MATTER material. The dynamic-coloured frames and the monochromatic front in hi-tech metal make ASTEROID a decisive and contemporary men’s eyewear, ideal for both an informal casual look and a youthful formal one. The model is available in four acetate colours – CubicGray Havana, CubicHoneyHavana, Light Green, Light Orange – combined with different shades of the satin metal front.

Good summer vibes with NIRVAN JAVAN purist and elegant sunglasses and BELDONA swimwear, leading Swiss company in the lingerie and swimwear sector.


NIRVAN JAVAN, upcoming Swiss brand, founded by the Iranian born designer Nirvan Javan, launched a partnership with BELDONA, well-known Swiss market leader in the lingerie and swimwear market. A partnership that aims at enhancing Swiss style and design.

The first project carried out by the two companies was the campaign for the 2019 beachwear magazine. The two models of the sunglasses collection SHADES 19, had been selected for the photo-shooting that took place in Cape Town, South Africa.




Attention to details, minimalist style, high quality and elegance are the typical features of SWISS DESIGN that characterize the two companies. Aimed to spread GOOD VIBES ONLY.


The models used in the campaign are the NJE-S 09 and NJE-S10 of the SHADES 19 collection.

8 Stunning New Signature Sets for MIDO

Summer & Cloud are teaming up in our new Signature Collection for Spring & Summer 2019: Both are confident, feminine designs with a strong graphic attitude that are matched in colour and shape.

By using the layered construction of paper-thin Acetate plates, in combination with a rose gold titanium sheet that loops through the front, the frames are featuring an interesting 3-dimensional twist. Referring to FLEYE’s annual campaign, which is dedicated to the « Flowers of Denmark », we have created this honey-havanna coloured acetate plates that perfectly link to the abundant Danish flora that has been our inspiration.

Summer & Cloud will be one of 8 signature sets, each consisting of one optical and one sunglasses frame in a set – linked through material, shape and attitude.

Belvie, the brand born from the passion of Optika, a French optician with 7 shops and a 40-year history in eyewear, debuts at Mido 2019 with its first collection of optical frames and sunglasses.

Belvie aims to offer an eyewear collection that encompasses diverse essences, each unique and different from the others. Belvie is synonymous with quality, design, lifestyle and personality: an alchemy of values which seeks to create, not obey, a fashion statement.

Four lines will be presented for the first time at Mido.

Feminine, elegant and high-impact models, thanks to the use of a bold colour palette chosen for the enamel detailing which enriches the ultra-light metal frame. Created for a woman who uses her glasses as a true way to express her personality.

Minimalist design for metal frames with square lines. Available in a larger shape, suitable for all faces, in the sunglass version, whilst the optical frames are masculine and linear in shape.

Inspired by 1950 and 60’s glamour and has all the allure of vintage styling whilst being reinterpreted with a modern twist. The classic thick front piece, typical of the era, is exchanged for an ultra-light acetate frame that is comfortable and practical to wear.

Titanium is used employing the most advanced techniques to create functional, yet aesthetically stunning designs. The result is a collection of modern and original models whose details are studied to create an innovative accessory with a strong glamour feel.

The name Belvie means “beautiful life” and seeks to represent the ideal product for those who are looking for quality, technology and aesthetics in their life also through a glasses frame able to convey the true personality of the wearer. Both the prescriptioneyeglassesand sunglass frames can be recognized for their modern design,paired with sophisticated colours, top quality and handmade materials and a perfectly comfortable fit.

Belvie eyewear collections are available from January 2018 atselected opticians, first in France then in the rest of Europe. Distribution will then be extended to the American market.

KLiiK denmark launches 3 new styles for Summer 2018 that blend innovative constructions, attractive color combinations and original finishes. Taking its direction from the clean, modern aesthetic of Danish design, each style is subtle while offering a unique, edgy look perfect for those requiring smaller eye sizes. All July releases are featured in the new KLiiK denmark campaign.

Featuring a round retro shape, metal frame K-621 won’t go unnoticed thanks to its original construction: three eye rims are soldered together onto a monoblock front and highlighted with contrasting double stripes. To complete the look, a rich epoxy lacquer is applied over the frame for a luxurious, ultra-shine finish. K-621 is available in four color combinations of wine cream coral, brown taupe lavender, black grey turquoise and grey white mint.

With a modified square shape, women’s style K-623 is an interesting combination frame. The marble acetate of the front unveils an embedded metal inlay at the browline to the end piece peaks through the top edge. Completed by matching metal temples in pearl finish, this style comes in navy silver, brown gold, black gun and burgundy rose.

Women’s style K-624 uniquely combines a squared off round shape with a custom lamination. Beveling along the browline and the end pieces gives a three dimensional look while revealing the bottom acetate layer for a full view of the colorful, translucent tortoise acetate of this frame, which is offered in vivid hues of cobalt, fuchsia, black and brown.

Based on the collected data, the optimal wearing parameters are defined and fixed and an automatic sizing recommendation for the frame is made.
